9 pp A4 (one cover sheet, one end sheet)

This worksheet is designed to help non-marketers create consistent and valuable marketing communications from inception to implementation. It doesn’t matter whether your activity is for fundraising, donor acquisition, general awareness, attracting volunteers or indeed anything else, as the principles are the same.

It is not intended to make everyone a marketing expert (and indeed would need to be considerably longer to do so), but aims to show you the key activity stages you need to think through and questions you need to ask when creating your marketing and communications activities.

Obviously, each charity is slightly different so some of the terminology may be new and certainly the approvals processes might be different. So, use the checklist alongside your knowledge and a dose of common sense; and remember that it is not a rigid set of instructions!

*Contents*

1.	Things you need to know before starting any marketing activity

2.	Building your campaign/message - checklist
